European Profiles has been awarded a new contract in Greece entitled “European Social Charter Monitoring Mechanism”, announced by the Economic & Social Council of Greece (ESC).

The project has a budget of € 140.000 plus VAT and a duration of 18 months.

The objective of the project is to provide scientific and technical support services to the Economic & Social Council (E&SC) for the implementation of an integrated systemic monitoring mechanism of the European Social Charter (ESC) and will include a mapping of the current situation and current developments in the ESC in Greece and other member states on the basis of the priorities of the social partners and organized civil society, the definition of the operational framework and the development and pilot operation of the Integrated Monitoring Mechanism of the ESC.

It will also include survey of good practices in Europe and exchanging experiences. The E&CS will draw on know-how and knowledge of good practices in area of social rights developed in other member states and will develop cooperation networks with the respective ESCs or their respective social dialogue institutions.
