The objectives of this project were the improvement of management and supporting guidelines in air quality towards a more sustainable urban environment in metropolitan areas, the development and enhancement of local air quality management and related awareness programmes within local authorities and stakeholders, in the aim to enhance the capabilities of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration. In addition, the project intends to improve co-operation between European and Asian local authorities, to achieve and effective exchange of information and experience and to build durable links between local authorities, private institutions and target groups (i.e.: the public, health organisations, local communities representatives etc.). |
