European Profiles S.A. untertakes the new COSME Project for sustainable tourism in Europe
European Profiles S.A. has been awarded by the European SME Agency the new COSME Project "Sustainable Tools & Activities for Rural tourism and ecotourism SME's Growth". The project is being implemented by a consortium of 6 partners: European Profiles S.A. (Greece) - leader, APINTECH (Cyprus), Accademia IRSEI (Italy), EU-ROM (Romania), Technology Park Lubljana (Slovenia), and the National Turism Cluster "Bulgarian Guide" (Bulgaria).
The aim of the project is to support the efforts towards sustainable development of the small and medium enteprises from the sectors of rural tourism and ecotourism in Greece, Italy, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Romania and Slovenia. More concretely, 15 small and medium enterprises (hotels and other similar accomodations) from each of the above-mentioned (in total 90 SMEs) will receive:
- Specialised technical support from tourism experts, such as:
- Trainings to enhance the skills of their staff;
- Participation in specialized seminars on sustainable tourism, new trends and innovations in the sector;
- Support for the preparation and implementation of environmental certifications.
- Financial support of €7.500 (100% funding) for the implementation of actions that will contribute to their sustainable development.
The total budget of the project is €1.260.000.
