Further to a number of significant Technical Assistance projects running already in Georgia and Azerbaijan, the prominent consultancy company European Profiles S.A. launched the project "Support to the government of Azerbaijan in creating more enabling SMEs environment and to enhance their competitiveness".
The project has been awarded to the Greek company by the European Commision following a tendering procedure and its budget is 1.000.000 euros.
The main Beneficiaries of this project are the Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (EASME) and the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan, that will be given Technican Assistance focused mainly in the area of Government support to the Small and Medium Enterprises through legislative and institutional interventions.
The know-how transfer related to the design and the implementation of innovative financial tools for the SMEs, the promotion of SMEs "clusters" in selected areas of the economy as well as the upgrade/improvement of the skills of the Beneficiaries' staff are among the key priorities of this 22 months duration project.
