On November 23, 2016 at the Cultural and Scientific Centre of the Embassy of the Russian Federation (7, Tzavella St., Halandri) the Hellenic-Russian Chamber of Commerce (HRCC) organized an event about business opportunities in Samara Region for the Greek market with the participation of businessmen delegation of the Region in the framework of the development of Greek-Russian regional cooperation.
Samara Region is considered as one of the most developed regions of Russia, a major training center at university level, with a strong presence of industrial, pharmaceutical, agricultural sector, as well as medical equipment and automotive (LADA) sector.
The event was addressed to Greek companies interested in co-operating with the relevant Russian ones, especially in the sectors of pharmaceutical, medical and pharmaceutical research, automotive and information technology.
On behalf of the Greek side, Mr. Costas Triadas from European Profiles made a speech on "Mixed Greek-Russian enterprises as a new form of trade economic cooperation." As part of his presentation he analyzed the parameters that can persuade a foreign investor to undertake a joint business based on Greece, strengths and investment opportunities for selected areas of strong business interest (Tourism, Energy, ICT, Logistics, Healthcare, Food - Agricultural Sector) were mentioned, he also presented investment incentives and financial tools provided by the Greek State for attracting / financing foreign investment and the exploitation possibilities, and he finally analyzed the range of consulting services provided by European Profiles for the development and consolidation of bilateral business cooperation on the basis of achieving mutual benefit for the parties involved ("win - win").
At the end of the event memoranda were signed for cooperation between HRCC and the Export Center of Samara and cooperation between HRCC and the Regional Social Organization «Mir Molodezhi».
