European Profiles extends its experience in Disability Standards though its new World Bank project in Romania for the design and implementation of a harmonized assessment criteria of disability and a unified institutional structure

European Profiles S.A. has been awarded a new World Bank Project in Romania, whose title is “Consulting services for the design and implementation of a harmonized assessment criteria of disability and unified institutional structure”, which is implemented in the framework of the wider Programme “Improved Policy-Making and Institutional Framework for Persons with Disability”.

The project aims to support the development of social policies ensuring that they are fair, feasible and effective in order to increase the quality of life of the people with disabilities, by supporting the Ministry of Labor, Family, Social Protection and Elderly Persons (MMFPSPV) to achieve a more effective protection of the persons with disabilities through better assessment of handicap and better information about people with disabilities.

The project has the following 2 main components:

Component 1: Strengthening the capacity to elaborate and implement the harmonized criteria for the assessment of disability and of the unified institutional structure; and

Component 2: The implementation in 3 - 4 counties of the pilot-model service delivery that is using the harmonized criteria for the assessment of disability/ the unified institutional framework.

The Consortium for the implementation of this project is led by European Profiles S.A and consists of Avensa Consulting, NCDP, GIP and Euro-link Consultants.

The overall budget for this project is 572.373 USD
